That pergola is beautiful! Really nice job on that. I'm slightly envious.
And here it is with the swing seat I made. I may try to figure out a more elegant way of getting it out of the way during hammock deployment. Now I'm off to find a more comfortable lounging hammock than this Hammock Bliss which I haven't measured but I'm assuming is 5ft long.
Suggestions welcome.

#1 Son used to build those for a lot of money (inflated US) but yours is simple and full of class! I like it!
Simon at tier gear Tassie produces the Peregrine lounge hammock... 4 hammock sizes.... one of which may perfectly hang the sway under the ultimate pergola... placed with a coldie Frothy in hand... to celebrate a tidy hammock pergola job well done.... YEEEWWW!
Quite the setup. Congratulations!
Career carpenter here. That looks really great! Folks will pay good money for stuff like that back where I used to work How are the uprights set in the ground? They wouldnt need much with your upper cross support. It literally looks like they grew there, lol. Fantastic.
Thanks
The far upright is cemented about 50 cm in the ground. The near one is literally the stump of a tree that grew there and was the inspiration for the whole project. I know that being rooted in the ground it will degrade over time, so I’ll keep an eye on its condition And sometime in a few years I’ll go fell a tree and replace the stump with one cemented in place.
They’ve both been stripped of bark and heavily oiled with lined oil to try and preserve them.
