    Tie-out question. (and panel pulls)

I'm halfway-ish through my RSBTR Winter Tarp UL kit build, which has been a LOT more complicated than I expected it to be; the slickness of the silpoly was the least of my concerns.

I'm about to hem the thing and then will put the tie-outs on. What's the best way to attach them? Both straps together on the bottom? One on top and one on bottom? Both on top? Tutorials and videos have all those variations, so I can't decide.

Also, are panel pulls necessary? Will I hate myself later if I don't put them on now?

Personally, I commend you for making a tarp. My suggestion would be to:

    1) check YouTube for Jellyfish DIY videos. Perhaps there's a video there that will answer your question

    2) Look at all the tarp manufacturers and see what they do. I'd imagine they've done some testing and have figured out the best way.

    3) Post pics of the finished product!

I made the tie out similar to this https://dutchwaregear.com/2016/05/10...tarp-tutorial/

You make the enforcement piece first then sew it into the hem and then you can put your grossgrain and d-ring on. The sewing is rough but it was my first tarp so....

With a large tarp the panel pulls are very useful to hold up the material and also to use as an attachment point if you want to put external polemods on

    Congrats on your first tarp!

You can add them later, but better do it before you need them (50+ mph wind gusts and you'll hate yourself for not having them).
