Bought a new propane griddle I want to try out, so I can do some breakfast Friday morning for those that are there already...1st come, 1st served. Scrambled eggs, sausage & home fries. Maybe someone can keep my coffee cup filled while I cook? And the griddle will be available for anyone else that wants to cook something any other time that weekend (you cook. you clean!).

Great Nyrsimon, I went through all 134 posts to date, and tallied number of hammock campers.

I added a few who usually bring their family.
Right about exactly 40 hammock campers…so far.

Some others are busy and or don’t post, but they will come too, Old Pro and Noob alike.

The truth is, many hammock campers keep a close eye on the weather report. With mild temperatures and no rain—more will come.
And with colder temperatures and rain—less will come.

Past numbers have ranged from 19 (it was both cold and rainy) and up to 70 hammock campers.

This weekend very mild temperatures are forecast, neither hot or cold—day or night.

Thursday and Friday have a 50% chance of rain.
Don’t have Saturday and Sunday yet.
Edit Friday shows no rain, now, subject to change

Next week around Monday, we will have a good idea of forecast for Troy NC and or El Dorado NC

If rain is forecast for Saturday and Sunday too, then there will be a rash of excuses for bailing out and no-showing.

Pick from the list or add your own favorite excuses.
I had to take my ferret to the vet
I have to check on my mother-in-law’s cats
I’ll miss Gilligan’s Island movie
Private medical procedures
Just remembered, have a conflicting calendar date

About food.
Bring or cook something that you enjoy eating.
Avoid anything that might cause food poisoning
No need to have any dish for forty people, maybe something that about 5 or 6 people would eat.
And if you are not into cooking—don’t!

At this point, there will be duplication and blank spots, Phantom’s fault! We will probably have excess food. And if not, there is always El Dorado camp store. Their fried chicken is boss. Also there are local pizza places in Troy that are ok. They probably will need us to pick up, rather than deliver.

Phantom predicts 48.5 hammock and tent campers, exactly!

See If y'all used a tent you wouldn't care about the weather (except Pete and Deb, of course)

Wow! Go off to the woods for a couple days and stuff happens!
Ingredients for my fatties already in the freezer.
Talked to Starfish Comet about maybe doing french toast and sausage again for Saturday morning. Thats if her work schedule lets her be there early enough.
Fatties go great sliced on those Hawaiian rolls. Anybody want to bring some?

Please someone post if you have a roll of stick on name tags. I have poor name and face recognition.
Usually I can remember a face, but sometimes I forget.
And frequently, I’ll forget a name.

If you can bring a roll of stick on name tags, you will help me a whole lot, and my friend whatchamadingit too. If you have neat printing, you might want to do this project at Yates. Or bring the roll. Thanks for your help. You Are Yates!

If you would like to volunteer help, please post on our thread, so that there is no duplication.

Also any side dishes for our Saturday noon meal should be listed here on our thread. This will help prevent duplication of foods

I tried to go onto our spreadsheet, but did not get it figured out.

For our Saturday noon meal, I’ll bring assorted desserts. Also I’ll bring red slaw and white slaw

The other day, I visited the liquor store, and the clerk was clearing his shelves of Russian vodka.
I tipped him ten dollars and he sold me a bottle of high test Russian vodka. I ain’t lying—it’s 220 proof.
I’d never drink the stuff, but it’ll be a great rocket fuel for any “Purdy Boil” challenges. It looks just like Heet alcohol fuel, but it has twice the BTU
