My thanks to all our great chefs. Tazmaniac Josh Noah PappyAmos Slugger Shooter CocoaPuff Gas ShortBus Peeeeetey Deborah

Y’all fed us so good, Ima hafta bring chopsticks next time and eat right handed. I’m left handed.
Somehow, when I was eating, I dropped my spoon and ate with both hands…not my fault!
    Food was that good.

If I’ve forgotten to name a chef, please make a correction.

Anyone who left Saturday night, made a good choice. It was somewhere between 18 and 22 Sunday morning. To steal a phrase from Two Speed, we woke up Sunday morning camping with a bunch of savages.

I highly recommend Two Speed as a first choice vendor on Etsy. His experience as a long distance hiker (Tripe Crown), he has a good balance of lightweight gear combined with durability.
He’s made gear for more than several of us Yates campers.
Two Speed makes top notch gear!

Thanks everybody, I had a great time.

As usual, I had a great time with old and new friends! My first Yates was spring of 2016 and it snowed Saturday night/Sunday morning. I missed one spring since when I was going through the spider bite thing, but of all the ones, I think this was the worst weather to my recollection?
I proud and privileged to say I was in the company of savages Saturday night. Perhaps this calls for a special participation patch? I’ve camped a dozen times in colder weather but man that wind was unnerving at times!
Can’t wait to see you all in the Fall!
    Taz

PS: Special thanks to Godfather and Chainsaw for coming with the smoker. I hope his catering schedule allows for them to come back in the fall and many more.

Great time, great friends and good God what great food. Thanks to ALL the cooks and especially Taz and his connections. After a weekend likes this, Phantom might need to modify his slogan from “Always on the time change” to something like “Always on the time change (with great chefs)” or something. He’s got till the next time change to come up with something.

Till next time, and there will be a next time!!!
