I bought a Walmart 10x10 pop up canopy with a tent insert for the Tazette. I have been thinking about setting it up to get a look at it, maybe leave the potty house at home and just use that.

Plan to be there. Hope to hike Wednesday camp on trail then hike or drive yates.
I’ve been thinking of retaining my title as
“Purdy Boil” Champion for life.
After winning, last fall, I began to feel sorry for all y’all…never being able to reach the pinnacle of success.
To give y’all a chance, Ive considered not entering our contest, this spring.
I can be convinced to give exhibitions, to show coffee brewing at its finest.
Henceforth winners of “Purdy Boil” Contest would be known as the Interim Champion!

We will have a knot tie demonstration.
All entrants must demonstrate ability to tie
Siberian hitch
Farrimond friction hitch
Alpine butterfly loop
Slipped Zeppelin bend
There are YouTube videos of first four knots.
The fifth knot is also shown on either of these two videos
Phantom Grapplers recommended ties part 1 or part 2
Knot fiends, prepare to claim your prize!
Hammock campers and knot aficionados, learn these knots and hitches, as best you can, before arriving at Yates.

I’m looking for an Old Pro to show their rig to others.
Demonstrate how you use hardware to rig your tarp and hammock.
Phantom knows ZERO about how to use and adjust titanium goodness.
Thanks hammock creatures!
Is there interest in having our traditional Knock Knock Joke Extravaganza after Saturday’s lunch?
If so, we will need a couple judges, judges who can hear well, are supportive and have a sense of humor and spontaneity.
Knock Knock Jokes at Yates are primarily for kids.
But we need some “grownups” to add excitement to our important event.
Thanks Hammock Creatures
Bought a new propane griddle I want to try out, so I can do some breakfast Friday morning for those that are there already...1st come, 1st served. Scrambled eggs, sausage & home fries. Maybe someone can keep my coffee cup filled while I cook? And the griddle will be available for anyone else that wants to cook something any other time that weekend (you cook. you clean!).
