Getting back in: Whats good these days?

So I want to get back in to camping and need to get a new hammock. I used to have, among others, a Deep Jungle XL that I used as my main (and the original ENO DN for no bug days). I loved that hammock but its been replaced with a newer model, and that one is out of stock as Hennessy seems to always be.

I've been out the game a few years and last I hosted an event, I was happy to see many new makers of hammocks out there.

    So what I need:

netting for bugs, because I live in the swamp (SC)
weight capacity, I prefer to have a high weight cap since I dont need the UL stuff (and Im fat)
    comfort

I dont need something with a tarp that comes with it since I'll be getting one myself down the road, but I wont complain if theres one with it

    Thanks all!

The Hammock Gear Circadian looks like a nice choice for a symmetrical Hammock with bug net. They also have a kit that includes the Circadian and comes with Tarp and everything you need.
Their customer service is top notch.
    Have fun jumping back in!

If you want a gathered end, I'm a sucker for the Blackbird XLC. It was my first hammock, comfy, excellent build quality, good service, and Brandon brings actual original ideas in the design. But as Charlotte said ^^, HammockGear has a good reputation too. My friend just bought a Wanderluxe and said it's super nice.

But otherwise I'd say at least lay in a bridge hammock before you spend that much money. I absolutely love mine. They say you can explain the difference between hammock and tent with "Sleeping is believing"...well, the difference between gathered end and bridge hammock: Sleeping is believing.

Our cottage vendors are all great. That said, I’m partial to the Simply Light Designs Trail Lair for a hammock as you describe. Check them out. You can select a double layer with material of your choice to get a firm lay for just about anyone. I like the integrated bug net and the symmetrical design so I can lay left right or anything in between.

Service from Jared, the proprietor, is second to none.

So many great options out there these days.

Especially if weight is no concern I love a double layer XLC by Warbonnet. I also really love hammocks made out of AirWave fabric and have one made from Dream Hammocks that is a wonderful summer hammock.

Warbonnet or Dutchware Chameleon are always my go to choices. The 1.6 from Dutch is rated to 350 lbs I believe and is very comfortable. You really can’t go wrong these days.

I have a couple different setups, one gathered end from OneWind outdoors. I have the complete kit from them and for the price I dont think you can go wrong. It is an 11ft hammock made of a hex fabric, bottom entry bug net and tarp with doors. I also have an Amok Draumr 5.0 which I really like, if you havent checked out the lay flat hammock options I would encourage you to do so.
