DIY Hot Tent Wood Stove - Stainless Steel Bar Sink

Some people take everything but the kitchen sink. But I will be including that as well!

I got into hammock hot tenting a few years ago and immediately fell in love with it. I really like my Pomoly titanium stove, but I wanted to try something for myself.

I will be adding a ~3.5x4" window in the near future. It works great...nice strong draw! After a good test, I realized this this is AIR TIGHT! The 3 air holes might be a bit weak, so I'll bore them out or add some more.

Pretty slick... great DIY effort & your stove turned out super nice. I'd be interested in seeing the window version & how you go about that part of the project.

    Well done.

Thanks! It wasn't as easy as I thought but luckily there were no mishaps other than making the door too small on the first go, so I added about 1.5". No too much wasted money. I needed scrap anyway for the air intake and hinge shim.

I'm pretty busy next week so the window won't happen for another week or so.

Beautiful. Just beautiful! And it doesn't require any sophisticated tooling. I have tossed many kitchen sinks from remodel work, but that Elkay sink is the perfect shape. Love to see that blue pipe!

The only tools I needed to purchase was an angle grinder, but I wanted (needed) one anyway. And some bits for stainless...incredibly tough!! I had no idea. I could have tried the jigsaw with a good blade but I'm not sure.

I'm really happy with the lack of warping. Other than the door getting a slight curve (1/16" in a corner) it's solid. A slight dip on each side but the only way I could tell is from the light hitting the polished steel.

I think I'll get another piece for a new door and have a metal shop make a 90° bend top and bottom to reinforce it. Then add the window.

Thanks! Glass window is going in today. Just got to my work bench and realized I'm out of #6 flat pan head screws...no one open on Christmas day! I'm too impatient so I think I'll use some oval head screws and replace them tomorrow so I can test it today.

I built my ti stove and used a double latch system. I am curious to see your window. I am debating making a larger stove.
