    Yet another XLC UQ question

This has come up more the a few time since on this forum. BB XLC. Do you want the Wooki? I have been thinking about this a bit as I am going to change my UQ.

Main plus for the Wooki is it will for sure fit easily. Not huge on down but that is OK.

Simply Light is the other main option. The option to have s lighter gauge quilt and have it preplan Ed that one can snap on another quilt is tempting. And that it will work more generically with other hammock

I like the wooki. My only complaint is that I wish the insulated area was a little bit wider at the knees for figure 4 sleeping in cold weather, but if you don't sleep that way, it's not a problem.

If you want down, go for the Wooki. If you want synthetic, go for the Trailwinder.

Personally, I'm not willing to carry the kind of weight that I would have to if I went with synthetic - but that's simply my insulation needs.

By the way, the Wooki works just as well with any other hammock as long as it is as long or longer than the XLC. All you need to make it fit is a piece of cord to extend the suspension.

I have a 20 degree Wooki and a 40 degree Yeti and would definitely get the Wooki all around next time, due to semi annoying cords in the Yeti. Overall, I love the Wooki and how easy it is (just takes seconds to put up) and it doesn't shift once you are in the hammock.

I'm trying to get my kit together for my first foray into hammocks and have been strongly considering the XLC. My current issue is that I'm not sure which lay direction I prefer; the xlc lay can be adjusted, but the wookie is made for a specific lay direction, so it's helpful to hear of other UQ options that will work for the XLC.

All high quality underquilts work with the XLC. But underquilts that are shaped like the hammock they are covering work best. My suggestion would be: get the XLC first and improvise the insulation to find your preferred lay direction. Then get the respective Wooki.

Good suggestion. I'm leaning in this direction.

Quick and easy to check with an ENO that you can return. If you're like me, sleeping in the goofy lay will feel weird instantly.

But wait! Doesn’t the Wookie have to match the XLC? If so, then buying the XLC already determines the lay direction of the Wookie.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

The lay direction has nothing to do with the compatibility. Both the Wooki XL with the regular lay direction as with the reverse lay direction will fit the XLC.
