I earned the rank of Eagle back in scouts years ago, but fell out from camping afterwards. I have a young family now, and was looking to get back into things and enjoy nature with them, when I stumbled upon Shug’s videos through another forum. I was drawn to hammock camping due to how cozy it looked, and the seeming ease at DIYing gear for it. Thus far I have sewn an 11’ netless, spliced some Amsteel into a fixed ridgeline, continuous loops, and set of UCRs with whoopie hooks, and made Jellyfish’s Gemini quilts. My next project will probably be one of RBTR’s winter tarp kits, and I hope to share future projects and adventures with the forum here.

Welcome from Arkansas. I believe they're going to have a frozen butt hang in Missouri coming up about the middle of January. I'm considering going. It's down around West Plains. There's a post about it on here somewhere.
