It snowing right now where I live and I am about 180 miles SW from Grayson. Imagine it snowing big time up there. Last time I attended the winter hang we were delayed being able to get to Grayson due to a snowstorm.
I am on one and that is bad enough as I never know how it is going to effect me. Some times I am fine in cold weather and sometimes I am freezing my *** off when it is warm outside.I am on two blood thinners
Showed The Terminator the projected temps for the hang and she said I can't go. Told her she can come with me and we will bring the dogs, set up a tent and have a big puppy pile to stay warm.

I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Wait and see. I don't like waiting!
Backup plan, if they close the park?

I would volunteer my place but so far I only have about 6 spots suitable for hanging unless you like hanging on a steep hill.Backup plan, if they close the park?

Looking pretty iffy.
A couple back up options have been mentioned.
Linville Gorge or Yates Place.
The roads are pretty slick hear but it looks like the temps will get above freezing tomorrow and increasingly so Wed and Thurs, then dropping again.
I'll call GHSP tomorrow and see what they say.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
More snow called for clt on friday so you can imagine how the mountains may be. I have looked at the Grayson forecast and it doesn't look any better.
