High Friday of 17 with snow possible Thur - Sat....BRB, I'm going to go start a GoFundMe page to help pay for some of Need2No's mental health issues....this is obviously a desperate cry for help...(meanwhile, I'll be risking it in the 4-banger 07 Accord because my 4x4 has a bearing issue that won't get fixed before the hang )

The park has always done a good job of making sure we got in and out. One year the whole Virginia State Park System was closed for a storm. Ideal conditions for a Winter Hang this weekend.Was going to curtain off one side of the shelter this year to get a break from the wind. We'll communicate with Rangers today.

Park was on Holiday yesterday. Just got off phone with Ranger station and that is as far as the road is plowed. The state is in charge of plowing to Massive Gap now. They are still trying to get 58 straightened out. I'm crazily not ready to call it yet being it is a "Winter Hang". Bottom line will be what the Park can get cleaned by tomorrow afternoon. We could still delay for a Friday arrival as well.I'm gonna stick with having it there. Yall know I'm not right. If anyone wants to try to get something together less wintery, I respect that. I'll check back in with Staff again tomorrow around Noon and update group.

Hickery, maybe we should wait and see how much plowing they get done today and make the call this evening. Either way, I am getting out of this house and braving the elements somewhere!

I think it will only really make difference if the State plans on scraping between when the Thursday morning stuff falls and Friday afternoon/evening stuff comes.

I'm still up for either as long as it's snow and not the snow/sleet/freezing rain/black ice stuff we get here in the central part of the state....

I think the snow has melted enough on the road leading to my house that I can get to the bottom of the mountain today. Have to go my dogs out of hack ( boarding ). We have a 50% chance of snow ( again ) here starting tomorrow.
