All good info.
And good point PG about not letting yourself get so warm that you sweat. Sometimes you gotta ventilate a little.
That's sleeping or walking.

I just got an oversized insulated parka in Walmart’s hunting aisle. While probably not as warm as top of the line winter gear, it will do the job.
The tag said about 45 bucks, but it must have been on sale. They are getting everything ready for spring. 32 bucks!!!
I got 3XL, very loose on me, and it will easily fit over as many under layers that I might wear.
I can remember as a kid, I’d layer up for snow sledding, and everything felt too tight after I put on my coat. My arms stuck straight out from my body!
Hahaha Lol

Oh man can't make it this year traveling to see family before and not sure if I can get enough school planned for one weekend trip, much less two back to back.

I just realized that we haven't promoted the raffle.
A part of it pays for the port a jon and firewood, but the majority is donated to GHSP to both help the park and thank them for opening the campground to our group in the winter.
If you have new or used stuff to add to the raffle, it will be greatly appreciated.

Advice please:
At normal low temps up there bottled gas stoves aren't much use, right? I'm assuming my Blackstone griddle won't work due to the cold.
I have a 35 year old MSR XG white gas stove. Might work.... might be a bomb!
As for dishes for the pot luck... how do we heat them?
I have no experience with morning temperatures below about 25F beyond boiling 2 cups of water.
PappyAmos, at low temperatures some stove struggle more than others.
Propane will work.
Alcohol fuel stoves will work.
Canister stoves will work, but there are work arounds or boosters, if temperatures are low enough to make them stutter.
Cmoulder on Hammock Forums has put a flat copper strip of metal that sticks into flame and is attached to canister tank. The heat travels back down the metal strip and warms canister enough for normal operation. You can message him and he can send you the pictures and description.
I think all these stoves will work at temperatures forecast at Grayson.
I think Peeeeetey will know about canister stoves.
PappyAmos if you have no coffee, we will drink Hickery’s coffee all up.
