..and they earn a commission on all purchases made through that Amazon link for a week after. Not complaining, but articles like this are becoming more and more common even from already established, profitable brands.

Not Trying to make an issue, it is a nice side effect of your purchase perhaps. Just, be informed is all.

That article is actually not that bad. I have seen a ton of ‘gear reviews’ that are really just veiled advertising. It can make it hard to know which reviews to trust.

Though for ‘entry level’ stuff I think Wiseowl is better then ENO. The quality is similar imo but the cost is pretty different. I am pretty happy with both my UQ and tarp. The UQ is a little too light gauge and the tarp is a bit on the heavy side. But both have treated me well and they were a price I was happy to pay as I was trying to figure out if this hammock thing was really for me. I am upgrading now (one year down), but I think it was a good place to start. Too low end and you can create other problems. These have been a good value.

The sizes — 9 x 4.5ft and 10 x 6.5ft — are odd, and there aren't a whole lot of people who are going to be able to sleep comfortably overnight in a 9 x 4.5ft hammock.

If anybody is far enough along in their hammock journey to have ended up on HF, I'd definitely recommend something else. Plenty of other legit options.

    My first hammock ENO Doublenest
Less than comfortable-overnight-slept like a banana

My second hammock Wilderness Logics 11x5
    More comfortable

My third hammock Wilderness Logics 12x6
    Very comfortable

    My fourth hammock Dutch custom
11 and a half by wide probably 70 inches
    Very comfortable

Some hammock campers are comfortable in shorter hammocks, ENO and ENO knockoffs. But after sleeping in longer hammocks, many realize the immediate upgrade in comfort.

At 144 inches and 138 inches there is a noticeable lack of CRP calf ridge pressure

And to all my friends who use short hammocks,
Merry Christmas, everyone does not have to have the same gear to get out and have fun!
