Google maps will get you there, but I'd recommend two changes to what they suggest when you are near the end of your journey. First, stay on MO 19 all the way to Eminence. That county road google wants you to turn on in Venice looks like a shortcut, but trust me, you want to stay on pavement there. Then, after turning left on MO 106 in Eminence, stay on that all the way to State Hwy H... again avoiding unnecessary gravel roads. I am unfamiliar with the final approach to Peck, but I assume what google shows is the north entrance mentioned by runners_low above. Hope that helps!

Here's a map of the ranch itself, captured from THIS web page.

Sorry, I just realized that my google map was set on "walking" for some unknown reason. When I switched it to "driving", it adjusted to the most efficient route from the KC area. My bad! Please ignore post #21 above. Carry on!

If Derek doowah's the whole way, it might work the other way. :-)

I don’t ever listen to music, so it might be a welcome change for a few hours in the truck.
Im trying to plan a potluck dish for Friday dinner, and am thinking of bringing BBQ wings, but wondering how many people to plan for.

Wings will be great. Twenty is planning to bring chili. I will bring a desert and some vegetables.

So how many people are we looking at?
I would like to go to the grocery store the next couple of days, and need an idea of how much to get.

Twenty has been recruiting prior attendees but it may end up being only the three of us. At the last FBH it was also only three but we enjoyed a great hike and camp none the less. We were blessed with snowfall and a beautiful trail at Devils Den. As the date gets closer we will know if more will be able to come. Sorry you have to drive so far. Hopefully next year we can plan something closer for you and those from St. Louis who have attended before.

It’s not a big deal compared to a drive to Colorado. There isn’t anything very interesting within two hours of me IMO. It’s mostly just farmland, with the closest thing being Lake of the Ozarks at around three hours away.

Hopefully mathineer and Ozark can make it, which would make five. Another member hasn't posted in this thread yet, but expressed interest via PM. From past experience, some folks wait until the weather forecast firms up before they commit, which is entirely understandable.

As runners_low mentioned, I'm planning on bringing a batch of chili along with the traditional fixins for the potluck on Friday night. Looking forward to a great time around the campfire with y'all.
