    TacBlade’s improved version wasn’t difficult if you have a bit of practice with splicing Amsteel. The loops involved are a bit smaller diameter than the typical 1” loops used in a lot of stuff. In the picture, the grey one is made using his dimensions, and the blue on is me trying to make one as small as I could and still be functional.

    I made a few of these overhand knot types of shacks. I have found that the end knot is much bigger and that makes it quicker to link my whoopie sling to it. I don't think the extra added straight is needed for hanging and with the extra cord that you end up using will make it a few grams heavier. This method is good if you don't want to learn knots and works fine for backpacking.
