Not finding anything about this when I search.
I'm making changes to my tarp and planning to go with removeable tie outs.
I have the usual 4 tie out points on each side of my winter tarp Sometimes I use the 2 on the far ends of the doors for a large
covered area.
Sometimes I use the 2 for the main tarp and tie back the doors.
For all these years I have had the tie outs permanently attached to a shock cord loop on each tie out point.
The cords not used are made into a hank and just hang there.
The detachable tie outs I can just pull out and attach to where they are needed.
I thought I had seen this before but not finding it now.
What I have come up with is 1.75 Zing It attached to 3/32 shock cord loop that is run through a Dutchware Mini Plastic Hook.
The Mini Hook will snap onto a small loop of the same Zing it that stays on each tie out point.
For the stake end I'll use the same method I've used for years, make a clove hitch where it needs to go and insert stake.
Two questions...
1- Do most people think the 3/32 shock cord is strong enough when I get into strong wind"?
2- nothing is stated or said in videos about the strength of the Mini Plastic Hook but they look to be plenty strong enough.
I plan to call Dutchware tomorrow, but I wonder if anyone has a thought about these hooks?
