Detachable Tarp Tie Outs and Shock cord.

Not finding anything about this when I search.

I'm making changes to my tarp and planning to go with removeable tie outs.
I have the usual 4 tie out points on each side of my winter tarp Sometimes I use the 2 on the far ends of the doors for a large
    covered area.
Sometimes I use the 2 for the main tarp and tie back the doors.
For all these years I have had the tie outs permanently attached to a shock cord loop on each tie out point.

The cords not used are made into a hank and just hang there.
The detachable tie outs I can just pull out and attach to where they are needed.
I thought I had seen this before but not finding it now.

What I have come up with is 1.75 Zing It attached to 3/32 shock cord loop that is run through a Dutchware Mini Plastic Hook.
The Mini Hook will snap onto a small loop of the same Zing it that stays on each tie out point.

For the stake end I'll use the same method I've used for years, make a clove hitch where it needs to go and insert stake.

    Two questions...
1- Do most people think the 3/32 shock cord is strong enough when I get into strong wind"?
2- nothing is stated or said in videos about the strength of the Mini Plastic Hook but they look to be plenty strong enough.
I plan to call Dutchware tomorrow, but I wonder if anyone has a thought about these hooks?
I too will something make and joy in it's making

I use 1/8 shock cord for tarp tensioners. I think I emailed Dutchware and that was their recommendation.

Thanks. I was wondering if 3/32 might be a little light in strong winds.
Of course any thing has it's limits when it comes to winds, etc.
I'm waiting on a call back from Dutchware about several questions.

I am a newbie, but I have found these to be pretty handy. https://www.liteoutdoors.com/product...ne-tensioners/ I attach them with small loops of 1/8" shock cord to the tarp, and leave the guyline attached to the stakes.
The guyline loops through easily and stays tight.

    I used a similar, less expensive slide-lock product from Dutchware - https://dutchwaregear.com/product/slide-lock/

I bought a bunch of those, I think from Zpacks. But they have a hook on one end for detaching. Not something I do, so I never use them but I like the idea.

I originally found them on Amazon, but went directly to their site. I guess they are the Canadian version.

I use titanium nails with the lash-it and Dutch Hookworms permanently attached to each stake (nail). Then I only have a small 1/8 shock cord loop permanently attached to each tie-out point of my tarp. It's a bit pricey, but SOOOO CONVENIENT!!! The 1/8 shock cord has always held just fine for me and works perfectly with the small hooks of the little titanium hookworms. I've never had a failure yet--lots of miles on this set-up! I really like having the line permanently attached to the stake, rather than to the tarp.
