I did the short walk up to the lookout to but saved the canoe and hikes for when I drag the family here, not because it was stinkin hot .

Looks so good, Dazza.... I'm relaxing just thinking about the place, the heat, the thin strip of green lushness surrounded by a dry landscape...I'll just head to the nearest sauna & pretend I'm there.

Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

Sauna sounds about right as the radiant heat from the ground was still unbearable at 9 pm so I invented the first roof top hammock, don't know that I'll make my fortune from it.
But it was cooler and the only other alternative was to be in the creek.
Woke up early to head up to Burketown for some fishing.
The Gubenment back in the 1890s thought it would be a good idea to drill for artesian water. Turned out even when it's unsuitable for livestock and you cap it it finds a way out.

It was more stable than it looks... just sketchy climbing down in the middle of the night.
@sloth99 I took a couple of close up pics for show n tell. These mounds were 600klms away from first lot.

This plover family were seeking shelter in the shade of the bollard till I disrupted them.
