The HG Journey is looking super tempting. Great price, center tie-outs, line locs & RR spacing panel pulls.

I also want to upgrade my trail winder to jared's modular system; the journey would free up some funds for that as well 🤔

One of my big appeals with the Winter Haven is getting coverage closer to the ground for a more enclosed feel. I imagine that most of the time I wouldn't need it but my mind's already excited about it, so hard to walk that back, hah.

The haven is a biggun, I only used it on a few winter trip when I was pulling the sled. And now that I hot tent in the winter I'll probably never use it again. I should sell it, but it's just so darn nice! Anyone considering one, I recommend the 2-pole setup. 3 is overkill IMO. Once I only used one center pole and it was still roomy inside.

What are you using as a hot tent / hot hammock tarp?

Smokehouse Outfitter I. I absolutely love it! Just the right amount of space without being too much to heat.

Thanks for the discussion everyone - your shared experiences and pics helped me visualize and narrow down what I was after.

I set up my existing gear to get a better sense of what the options might look like and I think the XL fabric from SLD and door snaps tugged on me. So in the end:

    Winter Haven
    Silpoly XL, Dark Olive
    Ridge Runner Spacing panel pulls
    Door Snaps
    Line Locs
    Single interior pole

Just pulled the trigger and before I even posted this, Jared's emailed me to give me notice about shipping expectations from RSBTR.
    be still my beating heart

The Super Fly is fantastic in rain storms. IMO: You buy the one you want. Don't depend on my good taste...
