    CARBON TREE TENSAHEDRON STAND

I just discovered this today apologies if its already known but wondered if anyone has any experience of them.

    https://crosshammock.com/en/shop/carbon-tree/

I wondered when a carbon version would arrive. The weight is impressively light at 1800grms (3.9lbs)

    Sounds a little fragile, no?

"treat the tubes carefully, do not step on them and do not drop them, especially on rock or concrete ground. The end caps must also be treated carefully. Place the Carbon Tree only on soft ground. When using on a hard surface, place a soft material under the two contact points"

176 lb weight limit leaves a lot of folks out.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

I have one, but have only used it once so far. It's sturdy enough for when I need to go lighter than the Tensa4.

Since the tubes all have the same diameter, they don't nest. This means that the stand only packs down to a bundle of approx. 6" x 22.5". I don't know if I could find enough space for it in my pack. I primarily bought it for bicycle touring to be able to leave the back-up tent at home.

You can read about it here: Origin of the Tensa4 hammock stand
I guess the design has been around for centuries.

I see what you mean but still not impossible at 6” x 22.5” this is the size of some tents.
Does it flex much when you use it? Im guessing not as I would imagine all the joins are ferruled.
