I finally pulled the trigger on Jared's new modular Trail Winder at 1AM last night.
I received the shipping notice from him at 8:30AM.

I had that happen when I ordered a custom design ULA Circuit backpack. Shipped out the next day. I really thought it was a mistake and they just meant to acknowledge the order. LOL! Gotta love great lead-times and great customer service!

I love it! I just had a sewing/fabric question and he replied back within 30 minutes. And not the usual canned response you get from many manufacturers.

You'll love that modular UQ. I was the first to order one and spent my first night ever in a hammock last Sunday. I have a SLD custom tarp, Trailwinder and TL Hammock.

With my 20 deg Bandit TQ, I was toasty warm all night into the mid 20's. Only wore mid layers, light sox and wool cap. If it ever warms up again soon I would like to try the single 40 deg UQ and see how far I can push it.

When I have a little more time in the setup I will post some pictures and a review.

Just sent Jared an order for a tapered tarp skin and ditty bag. I will probably get a pole mod and some tarp worms from Dutch this winter. The wife is starting to ask questions.......

I think that y’all have me talked into sending in my 2 TWs for a retrofit with the snaps.

My wife and I use the 40 for camping and have always been warm. We did one night at high elevation which makes quite a difference. I was fine, but she was in the wind a bit too much. Like a gentleman I switched hammocks with her and we slept great. I’d carry an extra snappable layer between us for something like that in the future.

I PESTERED HIM about Tarp Questions…. Pulled the trigger on a 11’X96” Trail Haven. He had it Sewn,Shipped in 24 hours or less…ordered on a Tuesday. I had it Friday Night Indiana to Ga!!! Man he’s a HIGH BOSS!
