Got out at last minute. Nice lil' walk in the downed leaves. Chilly morns from my Superior Gear hammock. Got much colder than predicted but having the SG Cocoon really helped boost my TQ.
An easy leafy crunchy walk.

Thanks for the video Shug... my favorite time of year to be out.
I may have to take my Superior Gear hammock out on a trip, although it's a little heavier than I like. It's the original version & I spent one night in it a couple of New Year's Eve's ago. I like the next-gen direction Danny has gone based on your description & setup demo'd in your video.
Thanks! Going to watch this right now! I can't wait to get my Superior in the mail... hopefully later this month.

Just as I was going to sleep last night....so I stayed up another 23 minutes. In before the snow flies!
I am really liking mine and enjoyed all last winter. Kinda enjoy not fiddling with UQ and just crawl in.
Which versin did you get. The snap on and/or built in UQ is really nice. And so easy for new hammock folk. The UQ is usually what stresses new hammockers out~~~
Chilly and rainy here today. Watching F1 stuff and hunkering down!
Hope that 23 did not cost you!!

I got the built in 30 degree UQ. Ease of setup was one of the main reasons that I went with Superior. We typically get to our campsite after dark, so anything that makes setup easier is awesome by me! I also opted for their cloud fabric on top and elite fabrics for everything else to save weight. I like the idea of saving weight with the cocoon and half bug net, but I just really love the space of my full bug net, so I stuck with it. Also added on the UQ protector to get my temp down a bit if needed in the winter. The only thing I didn't add on was the tarp. I'd like to get a lighter one, but it seems most are sold out right now so I'll just stick with my Wise Owl till I find one I like.

Thanks for the report and the great video. Glad everything worked out at Sector 7, I've been amped up on several occasions by similar incidents!!
I really enjoy watching all of your videos Shug, you have me sold on the superior gear hammocks, I am going to get one after Christmas!
