True, but technically you can travel service roads to get to the “no motorized vehicles” signs on both sides of the camp. And the way in to camp on each side from those signs is essentially a road though perhaps technically trail. So the question is whether those sections are okay to bike on or not. Don’t know the answer to that one ...

From personal experience, I can tell you I've only seen two bikes in the last ten years in Wharton State Forest. These guys were lost as hell because they had a 50-year old map that showed a bridge that was no longer there (Ratdog called it Unbridge). I have seen a few motorbikes on the Lower Forge portion - they were Ural bikes with sidecars. Very interesting history behind these Ural motorbikes dating back to World War II:

Not dead - just went and hiked the PCT during coronavirus, which took a while!

I still can't recall why you make these squirrel references. Refresh my memory.

Ah well. Suppose that makes sense.

The old saying comes to mind: “better to beg forgiveness than ask permission”. But at least you have an answer.

I "try" to play by the rules as much as possible. I'd play the odds if it was a simple single righter where I was coming in late, leaving early and moving on. This time I'm planning to be there a couple days going in and out multiple times so I wanted to make and stick to the rules since attracting potencial negative attention and/or ranger drama, to a group can never be a good thing.

You got a memory to refresh anymore at your age? Don't you have Alzheimer's? You're at that age where youre grateful for waking up another day you decrepit old squirrel fart
