Love it!!!! I don't want to be the only old woman that hangs. I have been trying to convince some of my girlfriends, but they just think I am crazy and want to camp in their large 5th wheelers or motorhomes.

How old is older really? I'm a maturing (mellowing/refining) hanging lady from S. Ontario.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I have a friend with a cottage on Rainy Lake, every time I visit I go check out Ocqueoc Falls. Very picturesque.

I really like Pidgeon River Country and Atlanta Forests!

There are quite a few nice spots to disperse camp south east of the falls campground on Silver Creek Rd and just north of the falls (on Black Hwy I think).

    Welcome fellow troll!

This is one of my favorite images I took of the falls last year.

I grew up in Hale and now that I live in Milwaukee, I'm jealous of those who live up in that area. (My dad turned down a job in Rogers City since it was my senior year of high school)

Hope to meet you at a hang sometime!

Welcome to HF! Years ago I spent time in that part of the state. Anyone who knows how to pronounce "Ocqueoc" wins an internet point for one day. Michiganders or their kin are not eligible to participate.

Thank you. It was a warm day in July and standing in a very chilly river was quite worth the shot.

LOL Yes the people in this area told me that I could not live here until I learned to pronounce Ocqueoc!!! It's definition is winding river.

Yes I live on the Ocqueoc river, N of the Falls. Many places to ride my ebike on the back country roads and trails. I know there are many places to hang a hammock on state land around me. I also love the Pigeon river area. I use to camp there every spring in the hardwoods to forage for Morell Mushrooms.
Maybe we need to plan a meetup sometime?BTW nice picture of the falls.
