EE uprising with a bug net ??? Suspension issue.

I have a hammock who's mosquito net goes on top of the structural ridge line (SRL) - and I just bought a second hand Enlightened Equipment Uprising underquilt as my first UQ.

But the UQ suspension attaches to the SRL - which can't be done when the mozzie net is deployed. See picture showing the suspension clipping to the SRL when the mozzie net isn't in use.

Can anyone think of a way to make the UQ work with the hammock? Thanks.

How thin is the bug net? According to this article, clipping it on over the bugnet is ok: https://thetrek.co/enlightened-equip...rquilt-review/

EE offers four plastic hooks on the main suspension shock cord that can be used to snug the under quilt up. They aid in the underquilt adjustment but sometimes fell off my ridgeline. However, for those using a bug net, the hooks go on top of the net and sandwich the net to the ridgeline. This may cause some issues on ultra-lightweight mesh in the neighborhood of half an ounce per square yard. I didn’t notice any damage to my 0.67oz-per-square-yard net, though. The main suspension doesn’t need to be quite as tight to get a good seal between the underquilt and the hammock when using these hooks.

Those clips are unnecessary. I’ve never used mine.

Thanks very much for finding that article. I had a go at hooking to the SRL on top of the net - it does work. I don't know if it'll damage the net - that was my concern but I could try it and keep an eye out.

Another good suggestion, thank you! I had a go with my set up and found by tightening the 4 main corner attachments I could get the UQ closer to the hammock again but it's not as close a fit as when I use the SRL attachments. I'll watch some youtubes on configuring UQ's as I don't know how much of a gap between the UQ and hammock is "acceptable" without causing heat loss. I'm right at the beginning of my learning curve with UQ's.

No gap at all is what you are shooting for.
I have a whole playlist on setting up UQs and other info. May give some insight.....https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...mBYSPGHjdyGqsL

thanks Shug - I'd watched a couple of your videos but that playlist helped me find some extra videos. I have managed to get a better fit (indoors) - so tonight I'm heading out to try it in some woods for real
