I recently came across the (new?) Trail Winder under quilt:

What really intrigues me is the modular 2nd layer of insulation.... You essentially get one underquilt in some Climashield rating, and then a 2nd snap-on quilt when you want to stack the two for colder weather. Has anyone tried this yet? With the asymmetric insulation it seems to cut down on weight substantially vs a taco style underquilt and the flexibility to snap on an extra layer of underquilt when needed seems like it would be pretty handy. I'd be extremely interested to see who has tried this or if I will need to be the guinea pig
