Recently received the Haven Tent (hammock) XL. Haven XL or Regular?....https://haventents.com/blogs/haven-j...en-or-haven-xl
This hammock for sure has a place in my hammock armada. If I am on a trip and think there is a chance I will need to go to ground, this is the hammock I would tote along.
One thing I do to lighten the Haven and make it suit my style is to use one of my own tarps for more room. Add Whoopie Sling/Tree Strap suspension. Haven has a whoopie sling suspension available now.
Get rid of the heavy biners that come with it. Use dutch clips or lightweight biners.

So yes....for sure heavier than taking a gathered end hammock and UQ...BUT...the ability to pitch it for ground easily is its strength. And the flay lay. Good for side sleeping. Easy in and out.
I like it. It feel it has it's place.
