Looking for seclusion in the keys in January or February. Being dropped on an island would be cool too

If this is a serious plan, bring a Tensa4 or a couple of Tensa Solos.
Just in the information gathering phase. Not necessarily stuck on a hang just a killer location that will allow me to get away from people

Lots of people in Florida Keys in winter. Maybe you can find secluded areas or an island
Don’t know
Maybe you can call someone who lives or works in the Keys for advice on camping in areas that are private
I was in Key West earlier this month. Even though it's now the off season, it was still crowded. I wouldn't recommend there if you're looking for seclusion.
You should look into camping in the Dry Tortugas NP. There will be other people there, totally worth it. If you decide to camp there, go for the max 3 nights, anything less is cheating yourself

You should also check out paddling in the Everglades. Johnny Malloy has a great book on this https://www.amazon.com/Paddlers-Guid...dp/0813060842/

You won't find seclusion in the Keys, but you can in the Ten Thousand Islands part of the Everglades. Also a hammock would be difficult but not impossible in both areas.
I looked at the Dry Tortugas. Last I checked, you can't hang anything from the trees so you'll need to bring a Tensa or some other type of stand.

Dry Tortugas is probably booked, but the Everglades is not.
Where are you going in FL? If you are down near Everglades City/Naples, you should check out the Ten Thousand Islands. There are some beach campsites north of the Everglades park where you don't need reservations if the park is full.
