Hi! Never-ever hanger in CT - first hammock coming this week!

Hi! I would love to connect with others in the New England area & get help on expediting this learning curve! So excited! I have been UL backpacking since March & am looking forward to experiencing what all the fuss is over hammock camping.

    Hey Monkey Toes,
There is a learning curve for sure but be patient and enjoy the hammock quest. Fun to be new at something.

    Hi,

There used to be hangs just to the north in central MA for NEHHA. Hopefully there will soon be again. They are a great way to meet other hangers and see a variety of equipment and to otherwise tap into that expertise.

Otherwise if you had any specific questions or need a hands on demonstration of anything I am nearby in Burlington.

Dr Phun, I would very much appreciate a hands-on demonstration. I've never set one up, and all the little trouble-shooting adjustments would be helpful!

    Welcome to HF!

We have an Ultra Lite Gear subforum accessible for donating members ($10/yr) wherein we discuss all things UL.

Looking at the few items listed in your member info, it appears you've got a good jump on UL hammocking. I shunned hammocks for a long time because I didn't think that UL and hammocks could legitimately be mentioned in the same sentence!
