    Greetings from Texas!

I’ve been meaning to get round to my first post for a while. New to hammock camping but wishing I’d found it years ago!

I bought a Hennessy Explorer Asym XL as it was a good starter package and I’m happy with it overall. That said I’m sure a Chameleon is coming at some point! I’ve picked some odds and ends from various suppliers and I have to say I’ve been impressed with them all. It’s a pleasant change buying quality and well priced items from US manufacturers. And the community in general is awesome!

The nighttime temps dropped into the 50s in the last few days so I had a chance to try out my Cedar Ridge Outdoors UQ and TQ. Really impressed with them and again happy to be able to support a US cottage industry!

Lots of rambling. Bottom line, I’m happy to be here and thanks for all the excellent info available to us newbies available on this forum!!

    Peter

    Hey Peter,

Nice change from a week or so ago when the night-time temps were 88-deg F at 11:00 PM CST here in San Antonio.

See if you can get free for the Nov 11-14 Fairfield Lake hang.

I will look up a link and edit this post, if someone does not beat me to it.

    Hey Joe!

Thanks for this - definitely would be amazing to meet up with some fellow Texan hangers! I think I should be able to get away for that!

Welcome, from the other side of Houston. It sure was nice to have those cool temps for a bit, along with the lower humidity. I think I may look into the Fairfield Lake Hang also. Maybe I'll see ya there.
