    Kevlar sheeting comes to mind.
I hope this is in fun. Doesn't sound comfortable with no stretch fabric.

I think your signiture needs to be removed.

Most murders with knives are by ameteurs-disgruntled lovers, muggers or plain idiots .

You dont find butchers, surgeons, martial artists,or special forces guys just running around chopping people up randomly.

You might also want to look at balistic nylon for your hammock.

The same stuff as used for skin on frame kayaks.

Its not 100% cut proof but is pretty dam tough and does have a bit of stretch in it.

Also very heavy and difficult to sew

My friend, security is an illusion.
Rather than some sort of hammock fabric that resists piercing by knives, camp out of sight of potential attackers.
In other words, stay away from bad people.

One way to be safer in a hammock, is to camp in a less visible location, off the trail and hidden by vegetation

Another way to be safer, provided your potential attacker has not chosen you and you alone, is to hammock camp in close proximity to many other hammock campers. If this attacker was not specifically intent on stabbing just you, then the odds that a different hammock would be chosen before yours are very good. Then you could awaken and take any and all steps needed to save your carcass.

When I first read the original post, I suspected someone was trolling for entertainment purposes. Or perhaps is suffering from some delusions.
But there lots of things I don’t know
There may very well be someone genuinely in fear of brutal knife attack through their hammock while snoozing away. I mean, you know, it’s getting close to Halloween.

Not so ancient warriors used chain mail to protect against sharp weapons attacks

Ancient peoples and modern alike have used two or three dogs to alert them to marauders.
    A dogs ears never sleep

    Good luck my friend

And chain mail of olde NEVER protected from puncture wounds, only cutting.

Modern stainless chain mail is not to bad on puncture protection, but please tell me how you protect the HEAD-the easiest target on a person lying down

This is kind of the weirdest request.

I don’ t think you are going to find a fabric that can not be penetrated with a knife. The fabric will be woven from thread, not a solid unit (no matter how strong the thread). One, how would you cut it to make a hammock out of it? Or sew it. I bought a new pack recently and researched dyneema pretty hard but you know what was a common complaint with dyneema packs? Punctures. FWIW I did not end up buying a dyneema pack though the waterproofness of the HL was pretty tempting.

But really, are you just looking for a tough hammock or are you actually worried about being attacked in the night by someone with a knife? Hammocks are probably not the best option for a homeless camp. Though a tent would just keep prying eyes away from your stuff as a tent is a fall sense of security. Sort of like being afraid of the dark and needing a flashlight (except when you are going to hurt yourself).

Though I have had some odd experiences camping. Had a meth ***** randomly show up in camp one time (not to judge, but there is a type and she was not super happy to see me and my partner either as she was clearly trying to meet someone). And had someone outside my tent one night at like 2AM until they realized I was awake and paying attention and then they took off. The latter I assume was looking for an empty camp and hoping to steal some stuff. Both were on the same stretch of river and I do not disperse camp near La Pine any more. Though I do not think in either case a bullet proof hammock would have been meaningful. Hell, is someone was that close they could just throw straps around you (not to give people nightmares). Or maybe wait with a tranc dart and snipe you when you go pee...

I could have fun with this and trim down the number of people in the woods at the same time...

I would suggest an air hammock - a hammock made of air. No way a knife can penetrate air.
