    Dutchware 12 foot hammock uq

Hey guys, i have a question for anyone who has a dutchware 12 foot net less hammock ( "the 12 footer"). - what are you using for an underquilt ? Any luck with the jrb mw series of quilts? Thx!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

I figure that UQ doesn't have to fit the hammock, it has to fit you. That's why some prefer a 3/4 length UQ; it's enough for their needs. A full-size UQ is about 6 to 7 feet long. So it seems the impact a 12 ft hammock would have is the UQ suspension would have to deal with an extra foot (over the usual 11 ft hammock) of bungee stretch. A tall person, 6 ft+, who wants full coverage may need to shop around for a standard 7 ft UQ or delve into a vendor's custom options.

In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

My experience is that any underquilt that fits me in any GE hammock can be made to fit me in any longer GE hammock. You might just have to extend the UQ suspension.

Yes, the UQ has to just fit to you, not the hammock length.

As everyone has chimed in, no apparent issues. I have the 12' ft Dutchware hammock and use the JRB multi-function Shenandoah long with good coverage. I did end up adding extra shock chord to the JRB under quilt suspension system, about 6" extra from each gathered end. I am 6' tall.
