I am in and will contribute to the SUGAR HIGH. See you on friday.
Straight out of Clayton.
Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.
I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.
I just joined the forum and am looking forward to this group hang and meeting some new friends. Already requested the time off work, and Saturday's lunch sounds amazing! I'll be bringing my 14 year old son.
We welcome MamaBulla and Son
Hey guys! I have been waiting to post because I have been in limbo regarding my work situation. Two of my guys, including my right hand who covers for me, have terrible news of their mother’s health condition. It looks like I can go to Yates, but I will be on call, so I have to greatly scale back to allow for a quick departure. This means I won’t be planning a large dinner for Friday as I would like. Plan on having my griddle if someone should bring own stuff and want to cook (and clean) for themselves.
For all I know I will be there all four days but it is not guaranteed.
Hope to see all of you soon, Taz

Was waiting for Taz to speak up. Sorry to hear about your coworkers mothers.
I'll be bringing my griddle and will bring a few things cook but certainly can't cook for 25+. I'll make some breakfast to share Friday or Saturday morning and maybe something to smoke Friday afternoon. Those will be limited in size so plan on bringing your own food other than the Saturday barbecue lunch. The $20 a person Phantom has asked for will just about cover the barbecue and the firewood. If others wish to plan something for Friday dinner please feel free to do so.
If someone could bring sweet rolls for Sunday morning that would be nice.
Thoughts anyone?
Taz, I too am sorry to hear about your coworkers mothers.
All you have done and still do is truly appreciated by others.
Taking care of Moms is first priority.
I hope and pray the best for them.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
Thank you Slowhike. The one mom has an extensive operation on the 28th so if we can keep her in our thoughts and prayers it would be helpful. Looks like another co-worker’s son will be coming with me so I will have an extra hand if needed.

I took care of my mom in her later years through various surgeries, hospital stays and temporary rehab stays.
It can be a full time job.
