Two Speed Hammocks, Hammocks and Accessories
Got to meet new friends and see old friends. So many good people makes for a great weekend hammock hang. Younger campers were very well behaved.
Jackson won Bottle Toss in his division, and Amelia won Bottle Toss in girls division. Roger McIntyre provided great fun and diversion with his Bottle Toss. Addison and Quinn had some excellent bottle tosses and knock knock jokes used as tie breakers.
Deborah took first place in Ladies “Purdy Boil”
TomTom took third in “Purdy Boil” with his Caldera Cone and Kojin stove.
Bob Joyride our defending champion, finished second with a different homemade stove than what he used to win last spring.
Phantom Grappler finally took first place after many years of failure. Used a Sterno Inferno mug and windscreen with an Evernew stove. I hope you don’t think that I cheated “too much”
I used yellow Heet alcohol fuel. And kept my fuel bottle and water bottle in my pocket until just before lighting stove.
Eli Roogles showed his two hot tents, in our Tour of Hammocks. Our tour was cut short by our BBQ lunch by Joes BBQ.
Several of us went to see Old4hats wife Caroline’s multicolored tarp. Some of the rigs our Old Pros set up are nothing short of Living Large.
Special thanks to all of our Old Pros who made Yates extra wonderful by cooking, grilling, frying, and roasting—Tazmaniac, PappyAmos, Ginger, TomTom and Hickery!
There were a few Hawaiian Shirts and South Sea Island shirts being worn. Starfish Comet wore an entire Island outfit complete with grass skirt for best in class both men and women!
Our campfire kept us warm into the night while stories flowed one after another

I am back home safe and sound in Ohio.
Wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who have been encouraging me to come to Yates! I had a great weekend reconnecting with long time friends, and meeting and making new ones! A huge thank you to Phantom Grappler for hosting a great weekend! Hope to see everyone again soon.
