    Hello from Kent UK

    Hi All,

My name is Matt and I'm from the southeastern corner of the UK.

I got into hammocking a few years ago with a very cheap amazon gathered end hammock which I still use.

I'm a sound and video technician by trade and I mainly work temporary events in the middle of fields, having a hammock in my day pack has provided me with comfort in vans, slung from lighting rigs, under stages and in a hundred and one other random places including once from the roof beams of my local theatre, whilst I was engineering a particularly boring show.

I'm currently sweating my *** off and regretting not heading out for a hang in the woods this evening.

    Welcome to the forum, Matt.
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

You are living it, and lighting it up with wires, speakers, sound and challenges at no extra charge

Welcome, Matt! your trip reports might be a little different, but I bet they're pretty interesting. enjoy your unusual spots.

I'm looking forward to it, but I seem to have signed up to the forum at the point in the year my work moves inside exhibition halls, however I have a winter underquilt on the way and I'll be out winter camping soon...
