Shorter hammocks such as an ENO are difficult to get a good diagonal lay, usually get a banana lay with no diagonal

Plenty of room for disagreement here, but I recommend a hammock to be 11x5 feet minimum, for a good diagonal lay and less chance of CRP-
    calf ridge pressure

Great that you got out for an overnight hang
So I have a Walmart special - its 124 x 77 so a little under 11 ft and bigger than 5ft wide....I am hoping it is close enough to get a good feel. Assuming I like it I can invest in a bigger one....

    Not a bad start
If you like your hammock, and choose to get another hammock, an 11 feet long with a wide fabric
Or 132 inches by 66 to 68 inches
    Might work well for you

If I got paid to tell lies
It just wouldn’t be as much fun

This is where I am -- basically need an underquilt at any temperature. Maybe I sleep colder than I think. But the nice feeling of sinking into the warmth of an underquilt floating around you is pretty sweet.

OK so night #2 completed. Def MUCH better. One new problem, without a pad my sleeping bag is 'sliding' to the middle of the hammock so I need to keep repositioning. I think I just need to raise the foot end a bit and I'll be all set!!

I'm also thinking I might head out to the group hang @ Grayson Highlands in a couple of weeks - just need to check schedules with the command module...

Raising the foot certainly can help position you in the hammock. Instead of being inside of the sleeping bag, try using it as a TQ.

I'll have to give that a try also - lot's of good ideas and hopefully I can tweak my setup to get it perfect!!
