Single layer vs double layer.

I'm leaning double layer for my first hammock purchase, largely because I intend to start with a pad and I'm a canoe camper so weight is less of an issue.

You don't necessarily need a double layer to use a pad. Can just toss a pad in single layer. I find it easier that way but all differ.
