Changing ridgeline length on my eldorado

How far have you guys been able to increase your ridgeline length on your eldorado or xlc without causing damage to the bug netting. I’ve noticed over the years with different hammocks that I am most comfortable around 113” and was thinking of swapping out my ridgeline on eldorado for a longer one.

Got to be careful playing with SRL length with integrated-net hammocks because it can put undue stress on the net, which is designed for a specific length... longer stresses the net ends and shorter stresses the sides along the zipper(s).

I'd email WB and ask, if they don't respond here first.

I know that with my DH hammocks there doesn't appear to be much wiggle room at all. Which is good because IMO they're darn near perfect as they are.

I second what @cmoulder said. In fact I damaged the zipper on my Eldorado when I was messing around with my new winter top cover, and I had too much sag (short ridgeline in essence). Compounded by me sitting directly on the zipper, and the zipper pull yanked a couple of teeth off the hammock side zipper. I'm lucky that was the only damage I did.

I just got my Eldorado back from Warbonnet who graciously repaired the zipper for me at a very reasonable price.

I guess my point is, if it were me, I wouldn't change the SRL on that particular hammock.

Personally, I wouldn't experiment with an established design by a cottage vendor. If Warbonnet wanted to sell a hammock with an integrated bugnet and an adjustable ridgeline, it would be on the market already. When you do rip the hammock or bugnet (and you probably will), Warbonnet isn't going to be able to help you repair it without substantial cost involved.

There's no wiggle room with making the ridgeline longer, in my opinion. Or if there is, it's in the fractions of inches. Unless you either use the hammock without the net or modify the net heavily.
