Has anyone made a UQ out of the escape bivvy? I’ve used it as a TQ for the summer but was wondering if anyone has done a UQ

Isn't that more or less a space blanket? If so, I'd think condensation would be an issue. Then again if it's not when using it as a TQ, maybe not. Still, if it's just a thin sheet of material, it probably won't do for much below the 60s.

It’s more akin to Columbia’s Omni-heat than a space blanket. I’m not worried about condensation considering it’s going to be for a summer quilt/ UQ cover

Try it and report back!
If hung somewhat loosely, that might mitigate or at least minimize any condensations issues, which you are not concerned about anyway. So, if condensation is not a problem,it should block wind/rain and radiate a few degrees of heat back your way. In addition, if this is a vapor barrier like some of their emergency shelters/space blankets are, that should add some significant warmth right there. VBs, if(for some, that is a BIG IF) you can deal with the condensation and humidity rise(clammy feeling), add a LOT of warmth.
Ditto that, safely experiment for us and let us know how it goes!
I already use a modified one for a summer TQ and don’t get much condensation. I’ve been able to get it to 45F with no problem. I would say it’s like a light froggtogg material with a foil layer. I’m definitely going to have to try it now. Couldn’t be worse than my Reflectix pad that I’ve been using for years. Lol. Only issue is all my sewing is done by hand so may take a while.
