    Back Yard

My son had his sixth birthday Friday. We're all sick with another strain of covid so we had to cancel his party.

What he said he wanted to do instead was get to camp out in the backyard and sleeping in a hammock with his little sister.

He's big enough he doesn't need to sleep under the same tarp with Daddy anymore so he got his own setup instead of sharing the tree with me.

I bet camping with Sis will be a more memorable experience. My daughter and I hammock camped for our first times in the yard. We had a blast (2hammocks under a wide plastic tarp) up to when the storm rolled in with lightning at 5am and we retreated to safety in the house.

Getting to camp in the yard is a good consolation prize given the circumstances. Hope you all make it through safely.

    Thanks.
They had a blast. Got up after daddy fell asleep and partied. Ate peanuts and watched shows till 3 am.

No health worries. Had it before and have vaccinations. Not too bad. Kind of like four days of flu and severe hay fever at the same time.

The snot flood creates a drowning risk that is more threatening.
