I'm sick of tying knots. What's the best / easiest way to manage tarp guylines?

Becoming a big fan of Line Loc 3's for all of the same reasons you cite. They have held up for me under plenty of strain and they are stupid simple. I feel like I overcomplicated things for a while. Not anymore.

Here is what I use on most of my tarps. I also use the Marlin spike hitch at the stake.

+1 on tarpticks. I use tarpticks on my guy lines (on loops like in the Warbonnet video), and figure 9's on my ridge lines. Works great - easy to adjust, easy to get everything nice and taut.

You should check out Nama Claws , I have had line locks slip but never Nama claws

I use the plastic figure 9's on my tarp lines. Work well for me and super easy

Check these out - I absolutely love them. Combined with my linelocs and snake skins, the tarp practically puts itself up without a single knot.

On one end of my ridgeline, I have a carabiner. On the other end, I have a figure 9. Running zing-it as the main ridgeline. In the guylines I just have a loop at the end of the guyline and a lineloc 3 on the tarp itself. Lawson glow for the guylines. It's super fast, convenient and simple to use.

+1 on Line Locs

Had the same revelation using Zing-it at 2:00am in a thunderstorm. Had to search a little but I found Line lock hooks for my tarp's tieouts. https://dutchwaregear.com/product/line-lock-hook/ Lawson's 2mm glowire holds like a champ in them. Zing it will hold, but it needs to be backed up with a slipped half hitch.
