Simply Light Designs Winter Haven Wide vs Dutchware Wide Winter Tarp

I am looking at an 11' tarp with the Dutchware Gear Xenon Sil Wide material and I am wondering if anyone thinks there is a reason to go with Dutchware over Simply Light Designs since SLD is a little more expensive for essentially the same tarp. Though there are some differences... The primary being that Simply Light Designs seam seals everything for you, flat sewn seam ridgeline, and I think they use fabric pockets for the internal poles. Dutchware uses grosgrain on the ridge line, bestie d-rings for the internal poles, and you have to seam seal the panel pullouts and ridgeline yourself.

For example, an 11' with panel pullouts, d-rings, and one internal pole is $290 from SLD and $240 from Dutchware. Is there an advantage of the grosgrain ridgeline? Seems like it just adds unnecessary weight. Is it easier to manufacture? Better for a split ridgeline? Makes the ridgeline more durable in general?

Seam sealing is a bit of a PITA, so there's that. It's nice to receive a tarp in the mail and not have to do anything else to make it trail ready.

Grosgrain ridgeline is stronger and I would definitely want one if I were doing a split ridgeline vs continuous ridgeline (CRL).

i'm sure they're both good. My SLD Winter haven is an excellent tarp. It's held up to some of the worst weather. When the snow is so sticky that it doesn't slide freely off the super slick silpoly and then freezes during the night.. when a tarp holds up to that it's good.

No experience with the dutchware tarp but my winter Haven has held up extremely well thru some brutal storms. It's still my favorite tarp even against my Superfly.
