One evening I inserted my Klymit Static 30", 3" thick pad between my double RR at the recommended angle of hang. I like the pad because it raises me up enough to feel less constricting on my legs and shoulders. Next morning I embarrassed myself by flipping over. Try getting out of that situation with the bug net zipped up! groan...
I got the idea next time to fasten my tree straps about 6 feet high on each end creating a huge drop in the middle of the hammock, like maybe 45 degrees. This made my RR a lot less tipsy. I put in my pad and surprisingly lying in the hammock felt just as flat as before yet more comfortable. Question is, I was hearing a lot of creaking and groaning at my suspensions. But slept fine the next night. Should I expect something to break if I continue this idea? Thanks
