After a long careful study of most every hammock out there including many nights sleeping at camp, I had a sudden epiphany.
It occurred to me that my favorite hammock, without fail, is the one that I’m hanging in at the moment.

Like a cat enjoying an empty box, if it fits, it sits, and it's a favorite box!
Lotta truth to this!
If I had to pick a single fave it'd be my first 'real' hammock which is the DH Darien Mtn 1.7 10'x64". But it's nice having a range of choices for specific trips, from a very light Hexon 1.0 Half Wit, a couple of netless SLD Treerunners (a Fronkey type net for one of them) and a Chameleon in Hexon 1.6 with winter top cover.

I’ve found that each setup requires just finding the sweet spot , been hanging with my feet a lot higher lately and that helps keep from slipping off your UQ
The best hammock is always the next one you get
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
I only have one hammock so it's definitely that one. Looking forward to the next hang.

I did a 2-night trip earlier in the week and used the 1.7 Darien... yep, it's still the top dawg!
I don't know what the secret is, but for me the 10'x64" has virtually zero calf ridge.
These were my Smurf-recommended dimensions. Previously I've stated my height as 5'9" but I recently learned I'm now 5'8" tall... I'm shrinking as I grow older, which my doc assures me is true for everyone.
