    New Location in the Park
We will be hanging in the Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground. We will be in Group Sites F, G, H, I. Good news is this site is centrally located in the park so it only half the travel time once you are in the park.

The park has a 1.5" strap requirement but double wrapping the tree counts. Trees must be 6" in diameter. Since this our first time in the group sites we request that you bring a stand if you have one, May or may not be needed.

Unfortunately Pets are prohibited in the Group Sites

    Covid-19 guidelines
We will be encouraging campers to follow to the current guidelines as posted by Virginia. Currently Masks are required in the Buildings. Please observe Social Distancing and respect each others use of masks as they seem fit.

    Costs
There is a $10 fee per car for entering the park. Paid for at the visitor center when you enter the park.
There is a $10 per person fee. Please pay Jimbo to cover the cost of the group sites.

There are several hiking trails through the park and other things to do.

    Food
We will resume our group potluck dinner on Saturday evening. See the Sign Up tab

    Other notes

In years past the temps have ranged from the 20s to 50s. One year we were in shorts. Welcome to VA weather.

There’s a heated bathroom building within 50 yards of the campsites

Unfortunately, I had to cut short my participation at last year's event. Hopefully, this year things will work out better. It's on my calendar.

Looking forward to seeing you both, Popcorn and Duchette. Hope that means Alex too.

And don't worry Dutchette. I won't be asking you to sell any tickets or count any money this year. You can enjoy your dinner in peace.

With much sadness I will miss this fall's festivities. My 40th class reunion in AZ is that weekend. Ugh....

Joe should be there, maybe with a couple others. Lean on him to make those great beans in the skillet and fire up a Tri Tip!

I will certainly make the Feb event with plenty of good eats to make up for November. You guys have a great time.

VA - NOVA Hang - November 12-14 - Prince William Forest

An idea was raised at the MidHHA Hang. We all like Dutch Oven cooking and want to try stacked cooking. So, for Saturday night we will do just that. Bring your favorite item to prepare and your oven and we will stack and feast. Be sure to add your ideas to the signup sheet tab for food.

Me and Patrick will no doubt make it again this year. I expect my dad will be coming as well.

Sorry to hear you can’t make it Doug, but I hope you have fun at your reunion!

Just got my hands on a third camping Dutch Oven. Now I need some suggestions for a third dish for the stacked cooking. Already planning on mac & beer cheese and a dump cake. Or if anyone has a dish to bring but needs a DO to cook it in.
