    Re-introduction

Hello all! I have been a member here since 2016 and cannot remember the last time I posted to the forum, so I will try to get a bit more involved.
I have been hammock camping for about 25 years starting with an early Clark Jungle Hammock. When Warbonnet came out with the Blackbird XLC I bought one along with a 20 deg. Wookie underquilt. Just purchased a Dream Hammock Sparrow to try something new, still in process of setting it up to suit me.
My primary recreation is fishing for trout all around WNC and the GSMNP. It's always wet here which drew me to hammocks in the first place, tents were a pain and I woke up wet more than once in the backcountry. I like being able to set up camp without regard to the terrain and know I will be dry in the morning.

    Bryan

When I started it was Clark and Hennessey pretty much. I think I ordered my Clark direct from Utah.
    Times have changed for sure!

Welcome back! Like you my first hammock was a Clark NX250, which served me well for over 400 nights, I lost count. I still have it and it sits ready to go, though I haven’t used it in a long time. I relate to the getting wet in tent stuff, my main gripe was setting up in mud holes left by the scores of tent campers who preceded me. Hammocks rule!
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
