Took my daughter, who never slept in a hammock, out for a weekend hike of the OHT. She used my snake skins while I tried Bob's tarp folding method. Being the gotta be neat person that I am, was skeptical of having Lawson Glowire dangling all over the place. There were zero tangles, to my surprise.
She did some reading about hammocks before this trip. When I demonstrated the Lapp Hitch, she snapped back why not Beckett? The Lapp hitch won her over and Bob's influence was 2 for 2.
In a recent podcast, Adventure Allen talked about getting down the trail with the least amount of effort. Pack weight might be part of that, but tarp folding method & Lapp hitch contribute to an effortless experience. These are two really good ideas. Thanks Bob.
