    Netless 12' with UQ

Just ordered a 12' netless and was wondering if anybody else with one is using an UQ.
I cant see there being an issue, but wanted to make sure there was nothing else i needed to adjust or compensate for that extra length.

Just a longer UQ suspension and you should be good.
Either add a shockcord loop or replace the whole shockcord.

The netless doesn’t have any UQ loops as far as I’m aware. Is there a need for, or benefit to, any additional hardware to keep it snug?

The UQ hooks keep it in place better and means less adjusting after each time you reposition yourself in the hammock.
Thanks Shug. I'll grab some more shock cord and do as you suggested.
Im eager to see how this hammock lays vompared to the Wide Chameleon.

A proper UQ set up sometimes takes some time to get right. And some practice. Fun times.

    Might give some insight.

I watched ‘em all 5 years ago and I’ll watch them again… but you mention the quick fix for the less experienced is to fasten up to the ridgeline if you can’t get the hang of it (pun intended). As I’m also looking at simple netless offerings right now I’m curious how much of a benefit dedicated UQ tie out points offer (like those that exist on other hammocks eg SLD offers them as an option on theirs). As well as the various hardware places sell. (Eg https://dutchwaregear.com/product/ri...e-quilt-hooks/)

If the simple answer is none of that is necessary… all the better! Cost and weight savings for everyone!

If it’s too snug add some shock cord. I sleep in one nearly every night and it works fine.
