    Not really difficult at all. Why take a look at me. I did it. Surely someone with a name as extravagant as oxtopheryames could do it with one brain lobe tied behind his/her back. I suspect most of us hereabouts couldn't even spell that.

    As previously noted, it has it's pluses and minuses. The main plus is if you have a single layer hammock already and want to beef it up for certain occasions or use a single hammock, or two, on other occasions. If you don't have a hammock and are in the market for a single hammock for general use or truck camping I default to DLs for their additional strength, bug protection, and ability to use a pad if desired.
