I saw this and was a bit hesitant to respond as it puts me in an uncomfortable position posted on a public forum. Perhaps a Private Message would have been the way to go.
Well one of the curses and blessings of doing videos is that folks feel they know me....But I don’t know them. Lots invite me to camp with them or them with me. I try to politely decline. As I am doing here.
Hope you understand.

I’m a pretty private person all in all. I love solo trips more and more and going with good friends.
Due to that I don’t even go to Hangs that much.
It is the price of splashing myself around forums and You Tube. In true life I am a spirited introvert.
So meeting someone to backpack I have never met gives me a wee level of anxiety and makes me dread the trip. I've been there before.
Pretty sue I’ll be at Math Camp during that time.

Ah, one of the disadvantages of fame. We all think we know you and feel entitled to your time and attention. That can be unnerving, as you are a thinking man who enjoys being alone or with a small number of good friends.

Maybe, No, for now, but maybe chat from time to time by text, email, or private message on Hammock Forums. Could be an interesting person to swap stories with. And if nothing else, in his bio, he makes good coffee...after more research, even though in Arizona he appreciates good ole BBQ.

My read is, MicroSSG is a cool hammock camper with multiple varied interests who would be fun to have along on an overnight hammock camp.
